Sorry, I missed your question... Sgt. Rory Miller is a martial artist, prison guard and author. I highly recommend his book "Meditations On Violence", I found it well written and useful. | |

| i trained escrima, and they wanna do an spontanic attack/ defense with the stick soo, a black belt try to hit me out of nowhere, i grabbed his whole arm, and smacked him on the ear, and a few hits with open hand on his head and face./ believe me, i did it out of reflex, but no power hard hitting or anything., the whole escrima class was shocked, and told me its a very good defence, BUT not the right one, i was supposed to block his strike with a stick and then follow with blows with the stick or something now i more and more started to look better at the escrima guys, locked in their drills, and i liked to do the knife part, but at the and it feels you went to a dance class or something. no, no more bullshit for me, but.. in every old ma is something usefull, i try to seek for that part | |
