I did a similar thing with a knife once. I was just playing around with my nice big butcher knife. Chopping and slicing the air. Then I get an idea...
Because I had this drinking straw, and I wanted to chop something. So I fasten it somehow to a shelf near my window. Must be something like 10 years ago. Details are blurry. Anyway, wanting to do it right I must have instinctively put more force into the chop and leaned forward because I nearly sliced my curtain in half and made a big wedge in the shelf. Ooops...
At least I didn't do the stunt in front of a big crowd.
What a punch though, it was as if the bricks weren't even there! Oh, what? Uh, nevermind that.

well dang KingRichardB, as long as we're all being honest. about a year ago--i wish it was 10 years ago actually, i was doing a ridge hand on the bag. it was one of two of my important hand strikes because provided i can set it up, i can do it harder by a margine than any of my other strikes. i've nailed people with it. it's as much a part of my ego as anything on earth. serves me fooking right for being so in the zone i came into it with force and didn't see how close the wall was. i hit the bag as fast as my head went into the wall. i've never been knocked out before--lucky sod that i am, but that was the closest i've ever come. those walls are as tough as, well, walls. i always watch over my shoulder to make sure i'm not being followed by a wall.

I impaled a balisong in the top of my foot once whilst practicing opening and closing it ..... perhaps sitting on the sofa in bare feet was not the best place to play with sharp pointy objects ....
