Recommend material to improve social skills

Hi, I need to improve social skills and wondered if you can point me in the right direction concerning books, audio and dvds on social skills. Thanks

It's not that i don't socialise its just i keep hitting the same walls when dealing with people whom i have almost nothing in common with.

step 2 - talk to people

please do yourself a favour and dont procrastinate by turning this into an academic endeavour

its like these ridiculous strategies that PUA community come up with for chatting up birds- whatever you do a lot of you will get good at, its as simple as that

so if you want to develop social skills spend the time you would of spent asking questions on forums or reading books at the pointy end- talk to people

yes it might be tricky at first, thats the learning curve, go through it and get good at it

Getting a job where you interact a lot with people might be worthwhile.

like lifeguard in a swim pook, bar keeper, or make pictures of people in a zoo, sell ice creams, etc

ive experienced it myself after my milatairy time..
i dont liked civilian people for a long time, and it makes me lonely..
i become first a bouncer, later a bar keeper..
nice women, nice people,

problem solved..

now i study and work together..
