The 10 Commandments of Mental Toughness Empty
PostSubject: The 10 Commandments of Mental Toughness   The 10 Commandments of Mental Toughness EmptySun Jun 15, 2008 2:57 am

Wanted to share this with you all. This is from karate and kickboxing legend Joe Lewis. He is my instructor's mentor and I've had the privilage of taking several of his seminars...

Mental toughness means uncompromising determination, being capable of enduring strain, hardship, or severity during any struggle.

There are ten factors, which comprise this important attribute for maintaining success with any self-defense altercation:

1. The WILL to engage.

2. The COURAGE to maintain.

3. The BRAVERY to endure.

4. The CONFIDENCE to always seek a solution.

5. The GUTS to face any adversity.

6. The HEART to confront and overcome any struggle.

7. The SPIRIT to persevere and never quit.

8. The TOUGHNESS to see pain as just weakness leaving the body.

9. The SAVVYNESS to be resourceful and use "your inner core".

10. The CONVICTION of sound trust in your statement of self.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP
