in fairness...since i joke too fuckin' much...i wanted to include this clip on
some tai chi being practiced in a way that seemed more convincing that the average hype of it. i'm not sure but the lacky being manhandled looks a wee bit like sami berek--no lacky at all.

Saw this clip on another forum. I like it, especially cos they use Metallica with the Tai Chi. For some reason that makes me smile Smile
If you look at old photos of the well respected Tai Chi guys, they don't exactly look hella peaceful and cosmic .... When you see the applications, it's really quite nasty - angle-pretzel-break-fall over.
It IS good for health though, so that's where it became so popular. Sick and old people, and New Age searchers aren't generally interested in the fighting part, so unfortunately it's original purpose has been sadly neglected.

Neil Rosiak worked the doors with my instructor for quite a while and his stand up grappling is superb. He has taken a different approach in training tai chi by putting in contact training, kettlebells, and sensitivty drills that is also shown in the Beta-8 series.

Definetley recommend anyone to go train with him.
