| Hello
A friend of mine recently gave me a DVD for my birthday titled 'Combat Skills'. I'm not sure if it's instructors intended for it to be a joke or if they are serious.
Right click and click 'save target as' if the links don't work on inspection.
Preview Clip 1
Preview Clip 2
The website is http://www.combatskills.net/
Then ebay link is
What are your thoughts?

| seriously though...without knowing anymore, if i turn my bollocks meter on for the right ballance of pros and cons, this is what immediately comes to my mind:
cons: -no name of instructor--to include qualifications or connection to SAS -no face (cool ski hat though) -erm, sneaking up and snapping someone's neck--where exactly will this be applicable to the general public (okay, i guess if i'm really wanting this to be true, "i saw the burglar in my house, i snuck up and ...etc, etc... -the whole, "never been seen before" thing just rings, well, off key KEY QUESTION: who knows the bloke and warrants his spidey mask?
pros: -probably real enough and effective moves, after all, it's out there for the learning for all who take the bait. -lots of folks in the picture who probably take their training very seriously.
Conclusion without knowing much of anything but seeing plenty of advert schemes...good stuff but same stuff, from non military personel who are geeks like the rest of us but trained hard over the years and got some skills after working at it long enough.
But: don't look for any new magic tricks...i just don't buy it. i'm not convinced. it rings loudly as/// SAME STUFF///DIFFERENT OUTFIT...CAN I HAVE MY $40 LBS. NOW???

| Sorry Russell, screw balance this time around, my vote is con all the way... They are clowns with serious intentions - Quote :
- There is no pretty box and no pretty label on this DVD -
just a unique and deadly training video burned onto a raw DVD for you. If you want hollywood quality then go and watch a nice love story at the cinema. (Hopefully you won't get murdered by a gang of thugs on the way home.) Yeah I hate when that shit happens. A couple of their clips point to missing links like blahblahblah/stealth-kill.wmv and blahblahblah/how-to-kill-dvd.mpg ST9 links in their meta- tags for the site... <dim mak IS scary> <The half-naked fat guy with the bondage mask in their screenshots IS scary too>

| a little lesson in cyber investigation
1.run the website name through whois.net
2. get the guys name and run it through google
3. find his amazon list and see what he is into (ebusinness books)
4. find the news article featuring his other hobby (being a modern day knights templar)
5. find his personal webpage through amazon
6.laugh
there is a mobile number shall I call and ask him about his Special Forces history?

| Oh, yes a lot of people make that mistake. In a lot of martial arts moves, a hand greande is the foundation. Of course because of liability issues a lot of schools don't include greandes in their training. This is how it's supposed to be done.
