| Paulb,
Wonder why you can't see the vid?
This is one of the felony fights where the guy does some knee drops on his opponent's head. | |

| seen this before, its that one knockout shot that allows all the violence that follows to ensue... that one knockout shot that we should be training to give and never receive!

| Sergei, thanks for taking the time! I think that the white guy misses so badly with one of his swings that the momentum of his shot combined with the miss takes him to the ground, in effect he stuns himself and then receives a jolly good dunt for his trouble! What I really enjoy about this is prior to the fight, he talks about the most awesome moment of his life being when he stabbed someone in the neck. Yet he comes up against someone proficient at least in ending a fight without the need for weapons and get himself wiped along the floor, justice indeed! | |

| Weak chin is a myth. The chin has nothing to do with it...in reality it is weak neck muscles. | |

| How does neck strength play a part in cushioning the brain from the shock of a blow ? | |

| Stronger neck muscles can help absorb the punch; thus minimizing the whiplash effect that rattles the brain. | |

| damn, well thats the first knee drop ive ever seen. I was surprised to be pretty shocked by it, i thought the entire chin KO relyed on the shocky reverberating up your jaw and doing sommat to the inner ear? (oh btw im new ) | |

| You can pack the area with muscle and still have flexibility. A strong straight punch - well connected - is more likely to cause a knockout regardless of neck strength. For a hook, strong neck muscles can help prevent knockouts caused by rapid rotation of the head.
Here's an interesting article with some exercises demonstrated for strengthening the neck...
