The part with the Kris (the Indonesian sword) is cool.
There's lots of spooky stories about swords, and Kris particularly. They say that each blade has a spirit that you have to get on with, if you decide to own it. Many people go to someone that can check out the energy of a blade before they buy it, especially if it is old and has a 'past'. They'll often burn incense and cigarettes near the blade because apparently smoke carries into the spirit world. If the blade likes you, then it will protect you, if not then you should not own it.
Sonny had a Kris that was old and had a handle wrapped in human hair. It was pretty trippy to hold in your hands. like a beautiful but poisonous snake.
