do radio waves transmit through a vaccum?
how do you send visual images through space?
how are visual ("tv") images normally transmitted?

isn't is high frequency microwave? I think radio wave is too low frequency to go that far.

do radio waves transmit through a vaccum? A.Yes they do.Radio waves are just one range of frequencies that belong to the ElectroMagnetic Spectrum.Radio astronomy is a field that deals with radio waves that travel (across the void) from other stars.Light waves belong to this 'Spectrum'.
how do you send visual images through space? A.The same way you do on our planet.Elecromagnetic waves dont require a medium to travel thru, unlike other waves ie Sound waves require Air and water waves obviously water.
how are visual ("tv") images normally transmitted? As with radio stations Tv stations broardcast a signal of a certain range of frequencies. The tv 'channel' is assigned this range.Because the TV image sent has a lot of information the band of frequencies is wide compared to that of a Radio stations frequencies. The signals are 'modulated' which just means there altered in a way that the information is carried along the Carrier wave and then the receiver,or TV, gets the signal and through the circuitry is fed to the Cathode ray tude and appears on the screen.Lcd and Plasma both require the same circuitry to receive the signal.ie A 'tuner' circuit.
Please message me if you require me to clarify anything here.

does the signal not weaken over distance? like from the moon to earth?
thanks for the info

Yes it does.Just as your mobile (cell) phone signal strength deminishes the further you get away from a base station. The stars in the sky are producing large amount of light/heat like our sun but the distance makes them to appear weak. It like how lines drawn out from the centre of a circle hold the same angle but the gap widens the further they are from the centre. Mathematically this is described as Inverse square law.1/r^2,where r stands for distance. ie a distance of 1 unit holds the strength at 1.Double the distance, the strength deminishes to a quarter.Double the distance again and now its 1/16 the strength of from the beginning.

there are people who beleive the moon landings were faked for loads of different reasons
I was watching a documentary about it and I was wondering two things that "offical story deniers" (I hate the term "conspiracy theorist") didnt ask:
1.why noone ever questioned the "live feed" of images from the moon, they would of needed a very powerful transimitor wouldnt they?
2.that last shot, very famous, of them blasting off the moon (being lifted by a wobbly cable in a hangar in area 51 ) means the camera was left behind and wasnt being operated by anyone, so how does the camera track the movement of the craft after it leaves the surface of the moon?

The signals received may be considered 'weak' but the circuitry of the receivers ,especially modern devices, can pick up, amplify, and process this 'information' very well. A web page that goes over details of the moon landing(and image capturing)
Remote controlled camera. The camera was probably fitted on a moveable base ,probably tracking a signal being sent from the module.

Was doing a bit more research on Earth to Moon radio transmission and came across 'Moonbouncing'. It deals with using the moon as a reflective surface for transmitting radio signals. Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth-Moon-Earth Apparently amateur radioists have been doing this since the 1950's
