Why Protein? Empty
PostSubject: Why Protein?   Why Protein? EmptyMon Jan 18, 2010 3:44 am

Following recent thread where there seemed to be a lot of confusion both about what protein is and why people who train need it, Im going to get some external "verifiable sources" to give me some quotes I can put here, so people dont think: "Oh its just Grannon asserting his supersitious opinions"...

Quote :
the body needs protein for growth and repair, fact. without the required amounts, all that hard work in the gym trying to achieve hypertrophy is pointless. during the prep for a comp, my diet is 80% protein (half of that from powders). my fat and carb intake is that low that if i didn't have such a high protein intake, my body would eat my muscle for energy. not a good luck for the stage!

("good look" I think that should be)

thats my mate Vicky Goodall, competitive natural bodybuilder and my former gym training partner, she is a great trainer

i'm here to lay this argument to rest--been a veggie for about 10 years, had
what can only be referred to as a socio-political tantrum--in true english style
[no explanation or outward indicators other than...] and started eating meat
like an african wild dog on a binge of blood and tissue. apart from the obvious
high and odd sense of inner shift, my strength has been exceding past the
placebo affect.

okay, i'm the lab rat and what i say stands Very Happy
i just ate a package of 5 turkey franks before i wrote this.
don't put your hand near my mouth when i'm on a frenzy.

satiated too. fook eating like a cow, it's bloody redundant...like a gerbal
in a wheel.

drunken

you've made the right choice mate--this coming from a bloke who was never going to win a beauty
contest Embarassed but i believe down to my norse-gaelic macdonald roots...the last one standing is the
best looking [regardless] scratch

on another note: what the hell is it with processed paper thin meat, i can't touch it, if i were to make
a sex analogy [to wake up everyone and make all think about it]...it's like the blow up doll vs. the
real thing. you only get a certain level of enjoyment from it, but are still wanting what you set out for
and now must plod on for the real thing. yeh, i'm a sick sick man, but metaphors and analogies work
for me. my first day out of barn and i was eating sheesh kebab in a parking lot like a wild animal, i could almost picture mummies pulling their children tight to them and saying, "quickly quickly...to the car...
don't look, it might see it as a threat! fook fook, where are the car keys? of all the times to loose, ahhh
...get in, NOW! PUT YOUR HEAD DOWN, MUMMY'S GOING TO DRIVE VERY VERY QUICKLY.....OOOOOH!"
