| Has anyone had any experience of using holosync technology to induce a meditative state ?.
For those of you who have never heard of it. It's a form of 'High tech' mediation. By listening to the audio using headphones it supposedly induces a meditative state much more quickly then traditional meditation using 'binaural beats'.
Now the interesting thing is i have never experienced the 'deep meditative state' what some schools of thought claim however what i do find is after listening to the audio i feel alot more calm and have a greater clarity of thought. To ensure its not placebo i plan to use it for the next 30 days to see if i feel any different.

| How long is the audio & what was your situation when listening to it, out of interest.
I only ask because my friend used to practice auricular acupuncture. After sticking lots of pins in my ears, he left me, in a dark room, in a big comfy chair with my eyes closed for 20 mins.
Came back & said to me, "see, told you acupuncture was calming."

| The audio lasts for 30 mins. I listen to it whilst lying down on my bed. It feels like lying on a beach and getting a sun tan | |

| Now that sounds cool.
I use that visualisation. Lying on a white beach, sea washing in and out, hot sun beaming down, then relax each joint of my body, toes to top of head, 1 breath at a time. Read it in a yoga book years ago. works brilliantly for me.

| Holosync and other brainwave entrainment is pretty good.
It will bring up alot of 'stuff' (old emotions and memories you've tried to hide and ignore) but just go with it and it seems to clear them up.
I'm using a program called 'quantum confidence' at the moment. As an example of what I said, I was listening to it the other morning and fell asleep and had a dream of my ex and the guy she married (someone who used to be my friend but I kicked him out of my life), they have caused me alot of trouble in the past.
Anyway had a dream where he come and tried to shake my hand and I threw him to the ground and threatened him, when I woke up, I realized there was no point holding onto this anymore it was just fucking me over and I was able to let it go, interesting.
A few programs to do with brainwaves are brainwave generator and neuroprogrammer 2, you can download trial versions if you search on google.
Theta brainwaves seem to be good to help program affirmations. Thats my other main focus at the moment.

| Benjamin its interesting that you should mention the dreams. I had had a few very wierd dreams whilst using the holosync stuff. One was where i met a school bully from over 10 years ago he tried to smack me in the gob I grabbed his arm said no and told him to fuck off. | |

| Whilst on the subject.
Every time I've split up with a gf, I always have dreams where I have to watch her have sex with someone in a room next to mine, through a hole in the wall next to my bed. I'm half asleep and usually try to dig through the wall, even though I know she wants him, not me. All I can do is watch with that sickening feeling. This has happened with every long-term relationship i've been in.
The morning after, I wake up, and most of the previous hurt has gone. As if the fever has passed.
If anyone can post links to these technologies, techniques etc. I'd be grateful. Sometimes my emotional mind feels like a full, cotton bag of rough ball bearings grinding against each other.
I feel like i'm in a really funny state right now, thankyou for sharing your experiences.

| Did alot of research on holosync technology. Its simply a quicker way of getting your brain to fall into one of the different frequency ranges. I would imagine that the most positive effects would be increasing focus, making yourself more calm etc. These things have the potential to snowball into other parts of your life like making you a more social person, overcoming stressful situations, ridding yourself of bad habits.
I believe that holosync is a catalyst to positive change dont look at it as a tool in isolation to turn you into a billionaire overnight or somthing like that. I suggesti bringing a style of meditation into practice while listening to holosync.
Further information can be obtained from http://www.centerpointe.com/ including a free demo that you listen to. I am currently using "the dive". I plan to use it for 30 days will get back to guys with further results.

| Some free brainwave entrainment programs..
www.transparentcorp.com/products/np/
www.bwgen.com/
I'd more recommend the first one. It has better sessions and a big help file with research and information on the subject. You can download a trial on the site.
I've noticed using recorded affirmations with theta brainwaves is also giving me alot of positive dreams on the subject i'm using them for. Doing it to get more confidence with women and i'm having alot of dreams where i'm getting laid and doing the right things to get there confidently. So it must be effecting my subconscious in a positive way. I combine this with positive visualization when in that state.
Interesting experiences with dreams Mike. Seems like you've been spontaneously 'releasing' things somehow, there is other methods that focus on releasing emotions etc..
www.sedonamethod.com http://www.releasetechnique.com/
Can't say i've had alot of results with them, though I still use some of it at times.

| If your getting dreams like this it sounds like a good thing as it could well be the communication gateway between your conscious and unconscious is "opening up" normally filters exist between the two which prevents anything from getting through to the unconscious mind. EFT and like you said sedona are options which works for some people. The only problem with these techniques is a close friend clearly pointed out is any form of anxiety is excitement. Its a very powerful emotion like fear. Its better to sometimes feel it and understand it rather then eliminate it. Fear is part of human nature make it your friend, feel the sensation. Say example when you approach a beautiful woman that you really fancy and you wanna talk to her. You feel a sensation inside deep inside which is excitement rather then fear if you know what i mean ands its an incredible feeling. I would rather have that then approaching a hot girl that i fancy like some social robot that lacks emotions. The approach comes across as more geniune. Hope what i am saying makes sense here somtimes i do tend to rabbit on a bit | |

| i'm at end of purif3; what i've experienced is about what bill said: 1, you begin to see thru the game of appropriate-inappropriate, as its really an animal game, humans are animals that, e.g., conceptualize; 2, you begin to be aware when you're Aware, & , that you've just been not Aware for some time, 3, you begin to experience higher Stages of psychological/sociological development; some of us are now entering the Integral Stage (of course many people are several Stages higher than Integral); at Integral you begin to intuitively see that all previous, less developed, Stage-people are at necessary Stages that can't be skipped, therefore are valuable; but that they need to be integrated into the society somehow, rather allowed to remain in their group-centric/ethno-centric/traditional/conventional/etc condition, with all its pathologies, e.g., muslims: 'magical-thinking', 'mythic-membership', e.g., allah really dictated the koran, or whatever, & will eventually support the establishment of a global caliphate, exterminate all those terrible, ritually unclean jews, descendants of pigs, monkeys, irradiate israel from the land that allah reserved for the holy muslim people, we need suitcase-nukes to subjugate the world before allah destroys the world, all go to 72 virgin paradise, or eternal torment in hell; to which they would reply: 'INTEGRATE THIS, INFIDEL!'; oops...looks like I'VE got a ways to go; at least i'm at a hi enuf Stage that allows for seeing that i'm NOT at The Stage Of Stages, which is the case w/ all the lower Stages; 4, begin to sense the urge to evolve; the New Spirituality is: A, non-dual, B, evolutionary, C, integral, D, collective; you'll intuitively be able to 'hold' more perspectives, i.e., more diverse peoples' perspectives, a form of expanded awareness; but, again, you aren't mentally living in a 'values flatland' where all values are equal--e.g, there aren't many american values, at this point in US history, that are not in need of serious overhaul; you will see the need for some kind social activism, if nothing more than trying to guide as many people as possible into Awakening from The Matrix; 5, you'll experience a ton of psychological Shadow Material surfacing, integrating; but TONS will NOT integrate w/o a lifetime of expertly facilitated Shadow Work, which few have the luxury to pursue | |
