THE 2ND CLIP IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN AN ARSEHOLE PAYS TWO ARSEHOLES TO FIGHT...
ONE DIDN'T REALLY KNOW WHAT HE WAS GETTING INTO, THE OTHER REALLY WAS MR. HEAVY HANDS OR WHATEVER THE FEK HE WAS BEING CALLED FOR THE CLIP

But I miss it and want it up and running again, with the intent that it was meant for in the first place. One central location for reality based videos for greater understanding and education of self defense situations for the average Joe. | Nice. That is actually pretty cool. The interview was handled pretty well. Personally I wouldn't have let them pin me down in front of a camera. Their job is to stir up shit and make it look as bad as possible, so as to get people discussing amongst themselves and giving the channel high view counts and sell more ad space for more moolah and stuff like that. I heard some amateurs on a local radio station discussing the news about swine flu, and how the government could force (gasp) people to do other things than their regular job (gasp) if huge numbers of people got sick. Specifically they gave the example of a teacher that could be forced to - hold your breath - sort garbage (gasp). The whole execution just made it ridiculously transparent how they were trying to rile people up. And that is basically the SOP across the board, just usually done a lot better. You just got to love the way they try to put a cat and a dog from mutually exclusive sides of an issue together in a small room and pretend it is for the purpose of a rational discussion. Now, clips. I always download clips of interest, more or less as a reflexive action by now. The worse they are, the better. Especially "difficult to watch" stuff. Violence and injury no longer phases me, let the heads roll and the guts flow, set it on fire and bathe it in a chunky sauce of blood and vomit... where's the popcorn? But I saw this one video of some old guy trying to remove an infected toenail with a steak knife. That was just nasty! Then I saw some kid sitting in the doctors office with an ear-sized hole in the head full of maggots, sort of pulsating and squirming. Ugh! Desensitization is one thing. But the lessons you can learn from studying the patterns of reality are invaluable. I would call it a requirement for understanding violence. All sources of information are valuable, but a website shaped around extracting the lessons of it would stand out among them. Sort of fusing RBSD with it, and actually make that R in RBSD mean something. Wrap it in a professional package and there's a lot less stuff for shit-stirring news people to grab on to. You could probably finance and make some wads off of it through affiliate-linking good SP material on the site as well. As of late I've actually been collecting videos and information on how "the uneducated" react to all things violence. As I've noticed what they see and what "the educated" see are usually two very different things. To see what kind of delusions you're up against when these people try to judge you. It is delusion because they do not know. They think they do but they do not, because they have never studied it, or necessarily experienced it. They get all their beliefs about it from Hollywood fairytales, memes, and what they say usually amounts to nothing but uninformed emotional shit-throwing. Some are just flaming assholes expressing their nature, but most of the screamers are good natured people, coming from good intentions and ideals, but they are usually wrong and highly emotional at that, when commenting on these things. Then they lash out with legal and psychological violence against their target like any damn lynch mob. Trying to kick what they percieve as a dysfunctional ape out of their little tribe or something.

| GOOD POINTS RICHB... ROADKILL, WHAT WAS HYSTERICAL TO ME WAS: -TRYING TO PASS OFF WINNING THE DEBATE BY SIMPLY TALKING TOO MUCH, INTERRUPTING AND SORT OF CUTTING OFF WHEN IT WAS SAFE, "BACK TO YOU BOB" -THE STRAW HAT REASONING, "WHY NOT JUST THROW IN LIONS" ARE THEY THAT DAFT OR DO THEY THINK THE AUDIENCE IS, OR PERHAPS YOU FOR BEING A SKILLED FIGHTER, HMMM. EITHER WAY, WHEN IT COMES TO FIGHT PSYCHOLOGY, THE REPORTERS WERE FLAWED BY WAY OF HYSTERIONICS, AND YOUR DEBUNKING AND CALM MANNER COULDN'T HAVE MADE THEM APPEAR TO HAVE MADE ANY POINT AT ALL. PUT IT THIS WAY, IF IT WAS A PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE, THEY'D BE OUT OF THE RACE AND CONFIDENCE WOULD BE YOURS. THE AUDACITY OF THE MEDIA SENSATIONALISTS TO EVEN HINT AT YOUR MOTIVES, IT'S MIND BOGGLING!!! AND VERY INTERTAINING, IT'S WORTH A REPLAY TO LISTEN TO THEIR NERVOUS LAUGHTER OVER YOUR POINT ABOUT THEM SHOWING CLIPS OF WAR I'M GUESSING THEY DID 'NOT' WANT A REMATCH. | |

| Roadkill,
I don't think I actually visited the old site - just saw 'comegetyousome' on some of the clips on YT. How would you make the new site? Maybe have categories for different examples of fights - pre-emptive, ground etc, multiple attack etc? And then be able to post comments like on YT?
Would you make it address the RBSD world directly? Or design it also with 'entertainment' in mind?
Reason I ask is that although I appreciate being able to see this kind of footage (I'd even say it should be a huge part of any dedicated SP practitioner's training) I also can't help but be aware of the possible effects it has on society as a whole (esp youth). But then, at least it's more honest than watching sports where men basically try to satisfy their natural desire to dominate other men by simulating battle (but are essentially too scared to actually fight lol)

Probably someting like that, it would be ever evolving. - Sharif H wrote:

That's the funny part... I use to get email all the time from young people saying that after watching many of the confrontations and the variety of outcomes... that they no longer wish to fight. Also email from adults that said they feel more knowledgeable because they have a better idea of what real fights look like vs. what they have seen on TV. We often think that because we know what they look like and understand violence, that everybody already does too. There are far more sheep in the world than we realize and more are born everyday. Here are 2 email samples, the second one still cracks me up. I agree and support you hundred perfect. That might not mean much but I am a Federal Law Enforcement Officer in Houston Texas. I was a Marine and a a army green beret. As a cop I have pulled up and seen guys and gitls attacked and beaten and they have had years upon years of training. There is no training for the real thing your site helps. I have pulled up to a woman that was in a fight for her life with her husband. He was 6 inches taller and 100lbs bigger. She put him in a head lock and chocked him out. When asked where she got it from she told us your site. Thats when I checked it out. You are a great mind and a great teacher. My whole department watches your site now. Keep it up no matter what they say. Trust me fighting and violence has been around for years upon years nothing will change that. Everything worth anything is discribed by this satement, "worth fighting for and worth dying for". All great things come with a fight. Semper Fi Your friend in Texas JoshI also got a bunch of hate mail... if i saw you in a car that had run off the road and you were trapped inside with your wife and kid's i'd pour gasoline through the window and set it on fire.

. [/i] That's quite encouraging to know. I agree too that there are more sheep that we often realize. Hopefully the brutality is more of a deterrent than just straight desensitization for most of them

| Just watched the MSNBC clip - Wow. The lady in the red dress was particularly amazing ..... she's a prosecutor? yet so ignorant. What illogical reasoning and so little thought in her 'argument'. I too loved the Iraq war comment - nice one. | |

| Actually, I did not think her opinion was illogical. But definetly over-emotive. Monkey see, monkey do. ....But do think it is ironic, as roadkill pointed out, that she complains about this on a news show. Good job Bill. | |

| "well lions generally aren't out when you're going back to your car with your christmas shopping"
Priceless! I have to say though that (no offense) having that other guy on at the same time certainly detracted from your credibility (only imo, i'm probably confused as to the context of the clip). Looks a bit like 12yo's filming 'wrestling' in their living rooms..
Was the site a collection of genuine fight clips?
