wow
, and here i thought aikido, etc... and all of it's sword play
didn't have any modern world application
but then...there's a machete under my sink by the back door, so i under
stand the sentiment
not sure i'd like to be in the swash-bucklers place
with the image of a flying hand in my memory---barf. i've known two people
that have [lost a hand by way of a big blade--machete]:
-done this
-had this happened to
weird shit
-the one guy that did it used a machete--and was a brother of one of the security
guards i worked with. although i never really understood the context, i assume that
because he wasn't serving a prison sentence that it must have occured in his home
whilst defending himself
-the other guy was fooling around with someone elses woman, lost his hand to a
machete, and now is an emotionally crippled recluse. really sad, as he also used to
be a fitness buff, that was really good at tennis, etc...
i'm starting to wonder about what possible defense anyone could have against this,
running i guess...behind structures at first. unless one had a close enough range to
run in. i guess everything is range at the end of the day. far enough away...run.
maybe those Russian bullet dodgers would have something else to say [from Chulo's
clip].
