Simon Pegg is a bit plop, lets the Brits down, but other than that its good shiznit, J.J.Abrams at his MI3 style best

its not relevant to s.p. really, but I thought I'd share... fight scenes are good

counting down till a utube sprog sends me a message "so like i totally saw this one movie star trek and like sylar totally nerve pinches this other guy on the neck and he passes out, this kid at school is bullying me so could you like teach me how to that nerve pinch sylar thing plz dude?"

oh I can teach "Spocking" alright, just not the nerve pinch one

Yeah I saw it yesterday - they blowed up things real good!!
Thought the guy did a good Shatner impersonation at the end which was hella funny, and I liked that he didn't do too well in his fights ....
Back in the day (that would be the 60s) it was quite a cutting edge programme - Americans - white and black, Russian, Japanese and Alien characters all working together. I believe it was even the first inter racial kiss on American TV ....
Liked this the new one too - I suspect there will be more to follow ...

i really enjoyed it and im glad they got this right as they're doing a redo on the franchise. hopefully the nextr one will be like a semi wrath of khan. bit more back story to it.

but as for the new one i cant really fault it.

i actually can't wait to see this film, but with kids it'll be a rental---arrrrgh!!!
which means i have to wait. and so i'm bitter...and i'm a hater...i'm exposed!!!

one of my small circle of friends--that i am trying to get on this site [we used to
sports fight together...make the rounds/circuit]. he's a trek-geek. i think this
little dialogue just may coax his lazy behind into joining. he'd sleep the night on
a sidewalk before a big opening movie; he'd go to the conventions; oh...and he'd
give up a nut for the green alien to be sure
