Didn't have time to comment earlier, but the reason I posted this, apart from the fact that it is cool old footage, is that it is interesting to me how much more of a 'brawl' fighting was back in the day.
OK it's still a boxing match and not a fight out on the street, but the lines seem a little more blurry back then. Apparently back in the 1920s they used 5 or 6 ounce gloves, no gum shield, no abdominal protector, unattached
thumbs on the gloves and butting/elbows and thumbing the eyes
were all routine practices .. (found this info from another forum).
This intro from Wikipedia about Harry Greb shows a little more what fighting was like back then:
"Harry Greb (b. June 6, 1894, Pittsburgh - d. October 22, 1926, Atlantic City, New Jersey) was an American boxer. He was World Middleweight boxing Champion from 1923 to 1926 and American Light Heavyweight title holder 1922 - 1923. He fought a recorded 303 times in his 13 year-career, against the best opposition the talent-rich 1910's & 20's could provide him, frequently squaring off against light-heavyweights andeven heavyweights.
He had a highly aggressive, very fast, swarming style of fighter who buried his opponents under a blizzard of punches. Greb was also a master at dirty fighting and had no qualms about employing all manner of dubious tactics, such as spinning his opponent and using the heel and laces of his gloves. The 'Pittsburg Wildcat' was also very durable, suffering only 2 TKO losses. The first was in his seventh bout and the
second happened 3 years later when Greb broke the radius of his left arm. Greb finished the round but was unable to continue the fight."

Unfortunately there does not seem to be any footage of him actually fighting Sad
