Hey Folks.

Stumbled upon these audio workouts about a week ago, they are ass kickers!

http://www.liftkettlebells.com/Workouts/Easy30-Kettlebell-Workout.aspx

There is a 20 minute and 30 minute workout and they are full body circuits! I haven't tried the 20 minute workout yet, but couldnt finish the 30 minute workout.

Beev

The website says Easy Kettlebell workouts. EASY!!! Maybe for the Combat Urban Ninja Trainers out there. Razz

Many thanks for the link. I just did the 20 minute workout and now consider my arse officially kicked. Once I can get all the way through this with my 16kg I will pick up the 24kg and start again. Twisted Evil

Yeah I agree, I dont see whats easy about them. Im going to aim to finish the 20 minute workout with my 16. Once im capable of that im going to do the 20 minute workout with my 20kg bell then tackle the 30 minute workout with my 16.

thanks for posting, I think its a really good idea as you can just pop these on your ipod and off you go- Ive done a couple for myself and it really does help you to push a bit harder if your training on your own

however I have to agree with you two, anything that starts with the instruction "now do 1 minute of swings" does not fall into the EASY category for me!!

Agreed wholeheartedly. 1 minute of swings is a bitch! I did the RKC Program minimum and was hammered come week 4! For the people who are unaware, the RKC Program minimum is a minimalist 4 week workout schedule comprising of 2 separate workout days, one swing day and a turkish getup day. On week one, you do the following schedule:

Mon - Swings 20 followed by 1 minute of jogging/skipping/anything else. Complete as many rounds as possible in 12-15 minutes.
Tue - Turkish get ups, one left side, one right side. continue for 5 minutes.
Wed - Rest
Thu - Swings 20 followed by 1 minute of jogging/skipping/anything else. Complete as many rounds as possible in 12-15 minutes.
Fri - Turkish get ups, one left side, one right side. continue for 5 minutes.
Sat - Rest
Sun - Rest

That is week one. Week two perform 30 swings instead of 20. week 3 do 40 and week 4 50. Turkish Getups remain the same as you find you will build up the reps alone just by perfecting your technique.

I havent had a go of the RKC Rites of Passage program yet, but that is basically an 8 week program consisting of 1 swing day, 2 snatch days and 2 variety days, here you would focus on stuff like the secret service snatch test or something similar, the "not easy at all" Easy30 workout for example.

I'm glad I am not the only one who struggled. I have done the Easy (haha) 20 minutes three times now and I have not made it through the 4 minutes of snatches at the end yet without having to park the bell and jog on the spot for a few seconds active rest.

At the end of the 20 minutes I have to do 60 seconds of jumping jacks to start calming everything down.

I haven't delved into the Easy 30 yet. There's a joy that still awaits me. affraid

OK, after a short holiday and some over-eating in France (cheese, eclairs, steak...so good...) I decided I had better get my arse in gear. So I got a cheap heart rate monitor and decided to tackle the easy 30.

Once again, easy is a relative term. I can do everything but the 2 minutes of swings and the 4 minutes of snatches. I struggle on those. It's something to aim for though.

How's everyone else getting on with these?
