Problems with anxiety/panic attacks Empty
PostSubject: Problems with anxiety/panic attacks   Problems with anxiety/panic attacks EmptyWed Jul 02, 2008 4:04 am

So normaly i am a very confident person when it comes to women, other social situations.

About 3 years ago i was a freshman in highschool, chatted up with a senior girl a bit to much, one thing went to another and as people often do exagerate the situation to her 17 yea old boyfriend. At the time i was 14, Got blind sided in the ear by a 6"2 180 pounds guy , bounced my head off a wall and pounded my face till he was pulled off. I recovered physicaly in around 2 weeks.

Afterwards i always had a problem around large groups of people, i feel like i have to know exactly where everyone around me is, and what they are doing. But on a very jumpy level.
This went on for around 3 months of me dealing with this and then i had a breaking point.

Didnt really know why but being on edge 24/7 for that long really messed with my personality.

Saw a few doctors about it, worked on myself, and thought i had it worked out. Next year went back to school and 4 months later, boom same thing.

The stress is just on such a subliminal level that i dont realize it until im at the breaking point.

The latest episode was getting so stressed my heart stopped and i passed out, puked, and was really in a bad way for weeks.

Im really tired of this happening so i got into fighting, self defence to build confidence.
But in certain situations i still get that old feeling.
I saw that richard said in "Real Outlaws" that he had a similar experience in a club, and i was wondering if anyone has any advice thats been there before and worked through it.

Thanks for reading all that and much appreciated

Well I can't give any specific advice. But I will direct you to some websites so you can research.

http://www.emofree.com/ (free manual, download it)

www.tapping.com (same as EFT, may have a few more manuals)

http://www.zpointprocess.com/

They are a few ways to release bad memories, use it on the memories that you feel have caused this and follow instructions in the manual..

Hiya Hunter

sounds like you have a bit of PTSD mate... you unconscious is driving you into a state of hypervigilance thinking it needs to do this to keep you safe when in fact it is driving you nuts

you should seek a professional therapist who specializes in PTSD

learning how to fight and about self protection will not heal this issue, in fact it could make you worse

deal with it head on and get proper help, the same way you would if you were physically injured Very Happy
