did this ritual for years. and maybe it's my slow metabolism speaking and projecting, but for
me [six mile runs and free weight room workouts from 5am or 6am respectively] it was a
giant sugared and creamed MUG of coffee. the end of the workout was when all needed to
get their fingers and toes to safety, and away from my eating vessel.
i gathered that the body also works pretty well on it's storage tanks after a jump start. not to
detract from Richie--who i routinely defer to regarding all things workout, especially in my
minimalist incarnation these days
