ONE OF MY STUDENTS... Empty
PostSubject: ONE OF MY STUDENTS...   ONE OF MY STUDENTS... EmptyFri Jan 15, 2010 12:00 am

most of you know i'm on the 'CRISIS' team of an american highschool. which means i'm legally
trained--with fancy shit paper ID and everything, to get myself brained by a 19 year old 10th grader
with a personality disorder whilst 'talking-nicey' and attempting to make shite cctv-friendly moves
work as we all travel somehow to some office or other off the radar [after an altercation if that isn't
obvious] singing and holding hands all the way. maybe a kiss, and a curtsy, and a sudden change
of heart on the part of the future dingleberry of society. [hmmm, guess i didn't drink all the cool laid,
and still reserve a bit of the synic]. all of us have done some version--BUT NOT "THE" VERSION, of
the moves in the recurring themes...sometimes never happens, other times it's like a flu that is passing
through and building [wee stupid fights from incapable fighters who do have a bit of ill-intent going for
them]. i'm lucky to have the most capable in my humble club so i were to come, i might fetch some
respect for being one of their teachers who care, etc...meaning they may condescend to having me put
my hands on them without a trace of ego.

that said

today whilst teaching PE [not health; and not self defense] i saw one of the students i have infrequently
being picked on by one of our large males. if it were a nature special, it'd sound like this:

the 220 twenty pound male isn't trying to really injure the young 160 pounder, but in the daily battles
that dictate who the alpha is, these little but necessary skirmishes must take place weekly as reminders
so as to stave off the bigger battles that can happen if there is a loss of credability.

[or so that fat bastard thinks]

anyway this is one of my skinny/nerdy guys who still trains seriously--and the weight differential is real.
during a running race, fatty pulled my students girly and pampered dreads [dread-locks]. i left it alone to
see how he'd handle it, as long as it was only something i could later give extra laps for [as punishment].
my nerdy and infrequent lad had the luxury of a hell of a long head control class the day before.

you guessed it. i watched it come out of him and the big whale flip and roll--hitting the ground hard. jumbo
was not getting anywhere near him after that, fetching much laughter and not desiring to test the terrain
again. what a hoot. i saw him sort of running sideways for a bit, then the arm under one tremendous
armpit, and the other pressing down on his head, and the partial spin-dance and like the movie kong, or
godzilla--the beast fell.

still thinking about how funny it is. nothing life threatening. but some points scored for the pecking order.

That's a great story! Always good for the large to understand they are not invincible, as it is for the smaller to understand the power they have .... Very Happy
