WOW! sorry it took so long to notice this Maija. i should have taken the
word 'guru' as bait Razz
that was awesome cheers

guru culture is guru culture. there's always--almost always, a huge element
of staying out of the mundane world. no resaurants; theatres; alcohol; sex; silly
sociallizing which carries so much gossip and draws you away from your goals.
and there's nothing scarier than a good wrestler with cardio. whilst still a teen,
and in no way in a threatening situation, but one of those challenges that are
sort of met with the expectation of being beat up on the teen level [pride...maybe
some tears...if you quit you're probably okay to walk off, etc...], a wrestler got
hold of me that was like 3rd in the area competitively. to make the story shorter,
i had a rep for fast hands, and he and two friends came looking for me to showboat.
i never was taken down so fast and hard in my life, i felt like i was grabbed by an
anaconda. i wasn't afraid for my life, but i was afraid for my rep [late teen values].
that was a guy i once made a cryptic reference about--since much of my pressure
test'ish experiences came at 18yrs, 19yrs...and into early 20's. when i FINALLY managed
to get out of his vice grip, i landed a head lock, dove his body down under me, and
choked him out. i was quite desperate in the same way one might be if they finally
get hold of a dangerous dog. it made a huge impression on me for 'grapplers' Razz
