that was hilarious--especially the slap. all those from the region i've known have always been WAY more
forgiving for such heavy handed humor. is this a cultural norm?

Yeah I think so. My Tunisian freind used to do this thing where he'd stand in front of you talking casually, and then kind of pre-empt you with a slap to the nuts. All in the name or humour.

He also told me a story of his Tunisian friends - two brothers and a cousin. Basically, cousin is staying round the brother's home... one brother is asleep and the other two decide that the funniest thing in the world would be to insert a pen into sleeping beauty's ass while he slept. Sounds.... err... very wrong, I know.

But then again, imagine how frikkin funny it would be to see his reaction when he woke up?
