OK... so I do have more to say. In credit to Danny Dyer; he can take a punch. That would have KO'd many a man, being so clean on the button like that. PS - that's Mo Teague. I wonder if Richie has ever trained with him? Mr Grannon....?

Your original vid prompted me to watch the whole thing too Is it me, or is Mo's behaviour in that bar scene totally incongruent with way he is in the rest of the episode? I mean, in the rest of that show - he's a nice bloke. But in that scene, he is obviously acting very sociopathic to the extent that I believe he was hoping for a full KO with the shot. Just for show. He was totally detached in that scene and yet later on when he's having a word with his own daughter, he's almost shy. Maybe you should have posted this in a post about supra states???

Actually, thought the family man was the suprastate & the bar was his true personality. Watch his eyes through out the show. He doesnt like to be crossed or questioned. Whatever, guy I would want on my side. Good personality to model. Good call, Sharif. Have you watched the show with the london street gangster. Invalueable view of the mindset of a robber/mugger.

Thank you very much Blackops. That episode does pretty much hit the nail on the head in giving you a feel for what's going on out there (esp here in London, not sure if it's quite the same elsewhere in the UK?) Check out when they show the photos of that guy and his mates. I can tell you from experience that having a group of these guys approach you to set you up for a mugging is.... beyond scary.... it's shit-inducing super laxative adrenal dump stuff. With hoods up (which are normally dark colours) and (no offense of course) their naturally dark faces give them a demonic vibe at night time. And that's just as you see them walk towards you. And if you get close enough to stare into those lifeless, sociopathic (or in the case of the three who approached me, drugged-up) eyes, your whole brain shuts down. I watch things like this and just think TRAIN TRAIN TRAIN TRAIN. It's our only hope against such predators. Because when in the presence of such an enemy, there is almost no thinking. What you train for is what you get really. There will be no 'thinking on your feet' kind of thing... to much adrenalin for that. To be honest, I watched it in bits. Just even hearing their particular slang and seeing the mannerisms of those guys is enough for me to start slipping into a not-very-nice frame of mind (supra state I guess). It's quite upsetting for me to be honest, because I have to try and raise a son in this type of environment. A combination of fear, hatred and anger for me. And a little bit of sadness to I think. “Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster, and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.”You know, sometimes I need a break from SP as a subject. Anybody else ever feel like that?

Funnily enough Sharif, from reading this thread it occurred to me that a preoccupation with Self Protection is not an entirely good thing, although sometimes it is unavoidable. Self Protection being different from self protection, if you get me. On the subject of Danny Dyer getting punched, if anyone saw the episode of that TV Quiz thing with Charlie Brooker you would have pissed yourselves. They showed this clip with the quiz question: Why did this man hit Danny Dyer? Answers from the panel of comedians included: Because he's a ****. I'd be hitting him with a bicycle chain. Danny Dyer stopped making his series (according to his column in FHM) because they all took the piss so much. It was apparently too much to bare. Sometimes you have to love living in a media obsessed society. I hope the gimp cried himeslf to sleep
